Chapter 1 of 4, about 1 minute
What does a page tell you first?
Before this: the answer says to read the answer and three facts first.
These screens are the real playbook example, a plan for moving a small team's wiki. Every page from this plugin opens the same way.
1
Read the answer, then the three facts
The answer is one sentence. The yellow cards under it are the only three things the page asks you to keep.
2
See the whole plan in one row
The strip lists every phase. A tag marks the two phases your team will notice.
3
Stop at the yellow Remember line
Each chapter ends with one sentence to keep. Read only those, and you still get the story.
Take from this: the answer, the three facts and the Remember lines tell the story. The rest is proof.
Remember: read the answer and the three yellow facts first, and treat everything else as detail.
Chapter 2 of 4, about 1 minute
How do you read at your own pace?
Before this: the answer, the three facts and the Remember lines carry the story.
Reading tools sit behind one button. They change how much of the page you see at once. They never change what it says.
1
Open Reading tools
On a wide screen the button sits in the left rail. On a phone it sits under the title.
2
Switch on skim mode
Skim hides the paragraphs and keeps the headings, pictures, take lines and Remember lines. Press S.
3
Read one chapter at a time
One chapter shows, with Previous and Next at the top. Press F to switch it on, then J and K to move.
Take from this: you choose how much of the page is on screen. Nothing on the page moves on its own.
Remember: Reading tools change how much you see, and never what the page says.
Chapter 3 of 4, about 1 minute
How do you answer a ballot?
Before this: Reading tools set your pace on any page, and a ballot is the page that asks you to rule.
A ballot is a page of cards, one decision on each. These screens are the real ballot example, four settings for a notes app.
1
Compare the options on a card
Options are pictures or short lines. The star chip marks the one the writer recommends.
2
Tap yours, or take the star
The card shows your pick, and the bar counts it. Pick all ★ fills the single-choice cards you have not touched, and leaves your own picks alone.
3
Check your picks, then copy them
Review picks lists one row per card, and a skipped card reads ★ (skipped). Then Copy picks puts them on your clipboard.
Take from this: one tap per card, and one more to send them all. Nothing leaves your browser until you copy.
Show the text Copy picks puts on your clipboard
This is the real output for the picks in the screens above. Each line is the pick, then its question.
Notes app settings: my picks (3 of 4)
1B When you close the note · When a note saves
2A Trash for 30 days · Deleting a note
3B Today's date as the title · New note start
Not picked (use ★): 4
Remember: tap what you want, skip what you do not mind, and press Copy picks once.
Chapter 4 of 4, about 1 minute
Where do you go from here?
Before this: you can read a page, set your pace and answer a ballot.
Open the real pages and try each move once. They are the same pages you just saw.
- Open the playbook. Read the answer, then try skim mode. Moving the team wiki
- Answer the ballot. Rule on four settings, then press Copy picks. Notes app settings
- Look something up. The field guide opens with a map, then holds 30 entries to search. Field guide for a small notes app
Take from this: each page is a working example, and your taps stay in your browser.
Remember: open a real page and try one move, because the pages are the manual.
